Acknowledging Our Supporters

CATG extends its gratitude to our previous funders who have played a pivotal role in advancing our research initiatives. Our work has been made possible through the generous support of the following organizations:

  • Michael J Fox Foundation: We are appreciative of the generous support from MJFF for providing us with funding to pursue PD genetics research in CAT. The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, established by actor Michael J. Fox in 2000, stands in the fight against Parkinson's disease. Through its pioneering efforts, the Michael J. Fox Foundation empowers the Parkinson's community, offering support, resources, and a unified voice in the search for a cure.

  • UCL ORS (University College London Open Research Scholarship): The UCL ORS has been a cornerstone supporter, empowering CATG to conduct open and impactful research that contributes to the understanding of genetic architecture in Central Asia and Transcaucasus.

  • GRS (Genomic Research Support): GRS has been a valuable partner, providing crucial resources to fuel our efforts in exploring the genetic basis of rare diseases and common neurodegenerative disorders in the CAT region.

  • Rosetrees Trust: CATG extends its appreciation to Rosetrees Trust for their commitment to advancing medical research. Their support has been instrumental in driving our projects forward and facilitating breakthroughs in the field of genomics.

  • Wendy's LabWe also extend our gratitude to Wendy Chung's lab for their support with Trio exome sequencing for numerous families from CAT. https://wchunglab.com/

These partnerships highlight the collaborative spirit that underpins CATG's mission. The contributions from MJFF, UCL ORS, GRS, Rosetrees Trust and Wendy Chung's lab have not only supported our research endeavors but have also contributed to the broader goal of promoting genetic and genomics research in Central Asia and Transcaucasus.

As we move forward, we remain committed to transparency and excellence in research, and we look forward to continued collaboration with our esteemed funders and partners. Together, we are shaping the future of genetic understanding in the CAT region.
